It is always an honor to be asked to photograph a friend’s wedding. I always strive to get to know my clients and become friends with them, but when you start out knowing the couple, everything just flows.

Sarah and I used to work together, and now that we don’t see each other on a daily basis, we try really hard to meet once a month for dinner.

A few months ago, it was girl night, Sarah and our friend Melanie met me at the studio. I was so excited to show them my new space, and let them see some of my work, since they were only familiar with my newborn images. (We used to work the on the mother baby floor of a local hospital)

The next day, to my surprise, when I woke up, I had an email, from Sarah, saying her and Joe talked it over, and asked if I would photograph her wedding. HOLY COW, will I? You better believe it.

It was such a HUGE compliment to be asked to be a part of her special day, not only as a friend but as her photographer.

Joe proposed at Cherokee park, so it was only natural that we would start off their Engagement Photos there. They are getting married at The Louisville Science Center, so we did a few there as well. We also stopped in at 21c and did a few shots in there as well.
