This is a family that I have known for some time now. I used to work under Jon-Paul when I worked at the trucking company. Every year, they always had these amazing images for their Christmas cards. Amy was always ahead of the game and her game plan well ahead of the holiday season. Seriously, these cards were to die for. I always wanted something so cool for my family!

I am always honored when a family chooses me to take their photos, to be the one to capture this moment in their life, but…. with Amy’s history of amazingly beautiful cards and photos in years past I was beyond humbled that she was trusting me to give her what she had visioned for this years card. Usually for family fall sessions, people want the usual, the fall colors and the leaves. Well, the Groves family had been there and done that in years previous. This time she wanted something a little more ummm…. “shanna” haha. She wanted something urban, some with pop, something fun. I always get a little nervous before a shoot, but this one was a little different, I knew the standards that I had to live up to for the “card”, and being an ex-employee of JP I wanted to WOW them. I wanted them to walk away thinking this girl is doing great, and of course I wanted them to have fun during the process. Before the session, Amy and I had talked about what they would be wearing, and what exactly she was wanting for the final product. I was so excited!! I knew that the setting of my new studio would be perfect for what she was looking for! I am very proud of these images, and “THE CARD”
