Class of 2024 Seniors!!

Congrats, you’ve finally made it!! This is our 4th year with North Oldham and we couldn’t be more excited. Your experience at Shanna Simpson Photography will be much different than that of most NOHS alumni, or anyone going to other studios for their senior yearbook portrait. We are dedicated to making sure you are satisfied with your senior tux or drape picture BEFORE you leave our studio. We understand (although, you may not at this time) that this photo will last a lifetime. This yearbook image will be what your classmates will look through in years to come. What your children and grandchildren will see when they look through your yearbook and maybe what is most important, what they will use at the class reunions.

During your tux/drape session you will be able to see your photo to make sure you are happy with the way you look, and make any adjustments as you see fit. We will keep going until you are satisfied with your image.

Remember your yearbook photo cost nothing to you unless you order prints, which we know you will want to because you’re going to love them! Just make sure when booking you use code “2024”.

FAQS – PLEASE READ

How do I schedule my session?

We have taken all of the hassel booking for you. We have it set up where you can schedule everything online. You can see what days and times we have open and schedule when is best for you.

How long will this take?

It’s not going to take long, about 10-15 minutes. It really depends on how long it takes for us to get that perfect shot for you. We block of 20 minutes for you.

Will my images be retouched?

When booking your yearbook session, you will have the option to add on retouching. When doing this your photo will be retouched before it is uploaded to the online gallery, and will be retouched in the yearbook. If at a later date you decide you would like retouching for prints you purchase you can always add it on when purchasing. 

What do I need to bring with me?

It does not matter what you wear on the bottom, this is only waist up.

Ladies:

You will need to wear a cami or another shirt that is easily slipped off your shoulders because it is for your formal drape photo. Remember to bring any jewelry that you want to wear, a lot of times there are family pearls that girls want to wear in these timeless photos. Also don’t forget anything you may need for last minute touchups. (ie: finishing powder, lipstick or hairspray). Also keep in mind about tan marks for maybe the week or so before your session.

 Gentlemen:

You will need to wear a plain white t-shirt so it will not show through the white dress shirts. I of course have the dress shirts, tux jackets and the bowties. Also remember to bring anything you need for last minute touchups.

 

Can I order my photo?

Absolutley! You will already know what photo you have chosen before you leave. You will be given a link and a password that is unique only to you. You can purchase your photo from home, and your order will be shipped to directly to your home. This also works for anyone who has out of town family members or for anyone who wishes to purchase more prints down the line.

Who needs to come to the appointment?

Only the senior NEEDS to come to the appointment, but we always welcome the parents. This is a fun time and always a good memory to be made. PLUS, this is when you pick out your which image is going into the yearbook. YES, I will say it again, THIS is when the image for the yearbook is chosen.

Do you do normal senior sessions too?

Of course we do! That’s our speciality. Here is our portfolio. When you schedule your regular senior session with us, your tux/drape is done during that session, you will not have to come in for two seperate appointments. Also, we offer 20% off of our senior sessions for NOHS seniors! There is more information below.

What if I don’t like my Picture?

You will. How can I say this so confidently? Because I know you will. That’s why I say it will take 10-15 minutes and not 3-5. I keep taking your photo until you like it. You see your photos as we are taking them. Doing this allows us to be able to tweak as we go. If you have a hair out of place, if you don’t like your hair on that shoulder, if your tie is crooked. The things that could make you hate your yearbook photos from another photographer that only took 2 for you have to choose from are endless, BUT we keep going until you have something that YOU want to submit.

MORE THAN JUST YEAR BOOK PHOTOS

Not only are we here for your traditional yearbook photos, but when you make your appointment you can also schedule to do your fun senior session as well. We are known throughout Louisville as being fun, trendy and most of all, for letting your uniqueness show through. You can do everything all at once.  Maybe the best part of the whole thing… You get 20% off your session fee just for being a NOHS class of 2022 Senior!  (When booking your appointment make sure you use the code NOHS)

REMEMBER YOUR YEARBOOK PHOTO SITTING IS FREE! THE FOLLOWING SESSIONS ARE IN ADDITION TO YOUR TUX/DRAPE PHOTO. 

 

Senior Session Options

These senior sessions can be ADDED on to your formal yearbook photo appointment. The yearbook photo obvioulsy is done at no cost to you!

Hair and makeup application can be added on by one of our professional stylists for $150.

Each session does include a an image reveal where you will see your images for the first time and get to pick out all of your prints and products.

All prints and products are seperate.

SIMPLICITY

$125
  • The SIMPLICITY senior portrait session is a quick 20 minute session inside the studio that will give you some  great images to choose from. We will make sure that you have senior great pictures to document this time in your life.

ESSENTIAL

$250
  • The ESSENTIAL senior portrait session includes 2 hours of shooting time. We photograph in and around our Frankfort Ave studio. You will usually have enough time for 2-3 outfits with this session.

LUXE

$350
  • The LUXE senior portrait package includes up to 3 hours of shooting time. We can usually fit in 3-4 outfits in this session. We shoot in and around the studio and go to one location if you have somewhere in mind.

ELEVATED

$500
  • The ELEVATED session is for the client that wants it all! This photo shoot includes up to 4 hours of shooting time. We will shoot in and around the studio, you also get multiple on site locations. You can usually fit at least 6 outfits during this time.

The Bliss Collection

Through the years we have learned that families have started wanting the digital images more and more. This made us devlope the Bliss collection. The Bliss Collections allows you to choose your senior session and purchase which digitals in advace at a discounted price than at the time of the reveal date. Don’t worry, you still have the option to purchase those amazing only offered in studio products. And of course, all digitals come with a full print release.

This session is a 1 hour session with 2 outfits. This is photographed in and around our studio and includes 10 digital images.

This is a 90 minute senior session that includes 3 outfits. It is photographed in and around the studio and includes 20 digital images.

This is a 3 hour session that includes 1 off site location as well as in studio. We will do as many outfits as you can fit in for this session. 25 digital images come with this package. You also get $100 print credit to use at your image reveal!

This is the you want it all session! You get 4 hours of shoot time. Multiple locations, unlimited wardrobe changes. 50 digital images and $200 in print credit to use at your image reveal!

We are on the corner of Frankfort and Stilz Ave. (In the old Mom’s Music building)  This photo is the view from Stilz Ave.  Parking is in the BACK of the building, accessed from Stilz.  The door says No.3 Photo + Design.  We will meet you here and the studio for NOHS is set up up-stairs. (If you have any issues going up steps, please let me know and I will set up the backdrop in the downstairs studio no problem.)
